3 states have their own Environmental Protection Agency, and 9 states have their own Department of Environmental Protection. Washington State has neither. If elected, I intend to sponsor legislation to create a Washington EPA to aggressively prosecute those who violate Washington State environmental laws.

As of last month, the Trump administration has rolled back 64 environmental rules and regulations, and an additional 34 rollbacks are in progress. Hanford is one of the largest environmental catastrophes in American history, so we understand the importance of protecting our environment. The State of Washington must step up to defend our land and guarantee our children the same rights to clean air, clean water, and fertile property so they can experience the same life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness we enjoy.
